Departure

After an enjoyable holiday in Tyrol we want you to have a relaxing journey home. Please note that, regardless of the Austrian regulations, travel warnings for Tirol may also exist in your country of origin.

1. How does contactless check-out work?

  • Please check with your accommodation if there is a contactless check-out option.
  • In some establishments the room key or keycard can be deposited in a box or other facility at the reception desk.
  • When checking out, keep contact with reception to a necessary minimum and maintain a minimum distance of one metre from other guests.
  • A face mask must be worn when checking-out.

2. What are the regulations for travelling back to Germany if Germany imposes a travel warning for Tirol?

Germany currently has a travel warning in place for Tirol (with the exception of the enclave of Jungholz). Guests travelling back to Germany after a stay in Tirol must be aware of the following points:

  • A negative Covid-19 test (no older than 48 hours) must be presented.
  • Travellers returning to Germany from Tirol who cannot provide a negative Covid-19 test must quarantine at home for 10 days.
  • It is still permitted to travel from Tirol through Germany to another country.
  • For entry into Bavaria, a ten-day compulsory quarantine will apply to holiday returnees from all areas on the warning list of the Robert Koch Institute. This period of quarantine can be ended after five days by presenting a negative Covid-19 test.
  • Attention! Different regulations in the respective federal states, more information can be found here.

3. Which other countries have issued travel warnings for Tirol?

The current travel warnings can be found here.

4. What do I need to consider when using transfers?

  • On your journey home we ask you to observe the hygiene and health measures which apply to the means of transport you are using as well as in stations, airports and other waiting areas.
  • Please make sure you wear a face mask on all public transport, in taxis and on airplanes.
  • We recommend allow more time for your departure due to changes in security processes at airports and stricter hygiene regulations.

5. What should I do if I am contacted by the authorities after my holiday and informed of a positive Covid-19 case?

  • First of all, it is essential that you stay at home until you get a negative test result.
  • In the event of a positive test, you will be informed immediately by the competent body (in Austria the Regional Administrative Authority) and officially told to isolate.
  • Furthermore, all further necessary measures will be initiated by the authorities – also with regard to contact persons, etc. In Austria the official regulations on the management of contact persons apply.
